About the Illinois Jaycees

The Jaycees provide young people (18-40) the opportunity to create positive change in our communities and in the world. The age limit allows the organization to stay fresh and young and readily adapt to the times.
Jaycees are part of an international organization with nearly 200,000 young active citizens and over five million alumni – including several world leaders. Local JCI chapters are spread over more than 5,000 local communities and over 100 countries around the world. JCI members are proud of the impact they create around the world.
Those who join the Jaycees do so on a local level by joining a Local Chapter. They automatically become members of the State, National and International organizations, literally providing a world of opportunity to challenge themselves to lead the way in the business, politics, community and personal affairs.
From Addieville to Bloomington, from Chatham to Chicago, Palatine to Peoria, and Naperville to Woodridge, the Illinois Jaycees has been making an impact in their communities and within ourselves. We are over 2000 members strong and have over 70 local chapters.

Achievements/Awards

The Illinois Jaycees is celebrating over 80 years of being affiliated with the US Junior Chamber. Many of our local chapters have been recognized as outstanding chapters in the nation. The Illinois Jaycees ranked 3rd in the world in raising funds for JCI Nothing but Nets campaign to fight Malaria.
